I GOT MORE MERCH IN ! ! !
Better picture of WAO CD
[*] Nanchuu Koi wo Yatteruu YOU KNOW - DVD W/PV + MAKING OF
[*] Otakebi Boy WAO! (+ Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda) - CD
It was so much fun watching the 'Making Of' part of the DVD. Hearing the girls' chatter, seeing part of their photoshoots, and getting to see them filming the dancing, etc. Captain was so cute and funny in the very beginning, she's the first one who talks to the camera.
And homg; surprise surprise! But when I saw Maasa, I was like; fjkenfkjenf ;w; cute! She looked really pretty. She (and Chinami) weren't as outgoing as the others back then, but they've really come a long way. My problem with Maasa was that she never seemed to smile a lot. Maybe it's because she was so focused on what she was doing, but also, I think she had a little shyness in her at times.
Maiha and Yurina did the best when it came to coming up with and changing poses quickly before the camera. The noise from the camera is louder than I thought it would be too! No wonder their smiles aren't always sincere looking; they have like less than like 5 seconds to go from one smile/pose to another. Yurina was such a joker, laughing and giving one brillant smile after another.
Example of what I'm talking about
OH! (For the images above) And there was this part where they had to do slow-mo running in the photoshoot, and Yurina was really funny. Risako kept laughing and stumbling a bit. And Chinami. . . .well she just looked kind of lame. She was smiling, but her movements were very seperated. You could tell she was posing.
AND! It also showed (for some of them) when they had to jump in the air for a picture (Saki was first!), and it was so cute. Miyabi was pretty cute too, even though during her shoot her smiles were so posed. I guess I shouldn't be too picky, they were just kids.
I don't have much to say about WAO, since it's just the CD. The inside coverlet looks cool, but I already know the songs on it, so not much to comment on. Except that I love it to pieces.
Better picture of the BK girls from the CD cover inside
I took pictures of all the girls from the cover's inside, when you open it up. Poor Maasa was in the middle, so she got slightly creased.
Annnnnd ~
[*] The Cat Returns - DVD Studio Ghibli
[*] The Whisper of the Heart - DVD Studio Ghibli
The Cat Returns is probably my favorite Studio Ghibli movie. Though I really like a lot of other ones too (Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Naussica, etc), and actually Howl's Moving Castle has really grown on me. I love the movie, but it IN NO WAY AT ALL measures up to the book. If you haven't read the book, you need to.
And as for Whisper of the Heart, it's takes place before The Cat Returns, and I have yet to watch it (I am definitely going to today or tomorrow, soon!) I just had to get it, cause I bet I'll love it just as much, if not more.
PLUS ~
The movie store nearby is going out of business, so I went and had a look. What did I stumble across?!
TOTORO PICTURE
MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO ! Oh em gee. I couldn't believe my luck when I pulled it out. Another SG film I had never seen before! And it was on sale, so I of course bought it! (But yeah, almost the whole time there was this very annoying creepy guy walking around, talking loudly, trying to pull me into a conversation once or twice, before he finally left. I was like; TYVM!)
This movie is very cute, but it is very much a kids movie. I can't say that I would watch the movie very many times within a small-ish time period. But if my god-sister ever comes over, I can always entertain her with this. Plus I'm just happy to own another SG movie!
SO YEAH ~
That's it on my Merch for now. But also in news; my younger sister is home from college for her (four day) spring break. Yay, and whatever. But when she was in high school, they had an exchange student from Japan (I think her name was Yuu or something). We didn't go to the same school, so I didn't know her, but I did see Yuu in their school musical (her english was adorable!)
But! Yuu has just contacted my sister and INVITED HER TO JAPAN! ! ! For two freaking weeks. I am DYING of envy ;w; I've been poking fun at her about sneaking me into her suitcase, but in reality; I am extremely mega super jealous. I told her that she had better bring me back some pocky and H!P merch.
We don't know if she's actually going yet. It's not 'til August, so she'll be out of college for the summer, but there are plans to go over and such. I just wanted to rant out evil-sister-envy. I could be a whole lot meaner about it, but I won't be. I'm happy for her, but immensely jealous. I will go someday ! ! !
ANYWAYS, as my MSN says right now. We're going to be watching a movie, and I'm going to gobble down some of the no-bakes my sister made, in an act of consoling myself. And then I'll be back. Hopefully to blog some more (and not indulging in my slash addiction as I was yesterday, LOL Rae) Tata for now~
